I am again realizing how horrible I am at picture taking....not the quality but the quantity! I thought we had a bunch of pics from the move and we don't. A few of Rowan and thats it. I wish I could have gotten pics of everyone that helped. We have a great ward and they helped us out sssoooo much!!!
We just moved from the 3rd floor in one complex to the bottom floor in another apartment complex. The layout is nicer in some ways. And moving is great for us cuz we realize what we haven't used in years and are able to get rid of things!!
Surprisingly Rowan didn't mess with the boxes at all, which is a good thing cuz we started packing early in December. We hid the boxes so that Christmas would still feel like Christmas

The other December story started in November. Rowan is really pigeon toed (so was I and Cory's family has it too). The foot doctor recommended casting his feet. Which is what my parents did for me so I didn't question it. After 2 weeks they took the casts off and Rowan had completely worn through the plaster. The doctor used scissors to take them off!! When the casts were off Rowan had sores and blisters on his heels. They weren't too bad and so the doctor reinforced the casts and we tried again. 2 weeks later....more sores and he wore through them again, although not as bad. So we are taking Rowan into a child orthopedic specialist the first of February to see what he recommends.
The good thing is the casts didn't even slow Rowan down! He still climbed on everything and was as happy as ever.
This is him playing cars on the coffee table...you can see the casts (I covered them with cute festive socks!)

And because we couldn't get the casts wet, this is how we bathed Rowan!! And believe it or not, he loved it!!

Then there was the move....Rowan playing with packing from a package

Rowan climbing on DI stuff

And we had to go out to eat cuz everything was packed and Rowan learned that using a fork was fun! (Olive Garden breadstick, he refused to eat it unless he could use the fork!)

Between Cory finishing finals and Christmas and the move and being sick I have not been very good at updating this. So I will try and update it a bunch this week. To start I have to apologize for the lack of pictures from Christmas. (My New Years resolution is to take more pics!)
Rowan got quite the haul and loved to open them! No videos, we were on webcam showing him off to the grandparents! After we opened presents we went over to some great friends for dinner and it was great! (We accidentally left the camera at home.)
And no pics with Santa because we didn't want to fight the lines. Although Rowan saw a pic of Cory's cousins kids on Santa's lap and laughed!!! I wanted to see if he would laugh at Santa!! But we were busy.
More stories to come with more pics. But here are the few from Christmas:
We got some yummy cookies from some friends and I gave one with sprinkles to Rowan and he LOVED them.

I love his eyes in this pic, he just looks mischievous (I think he gets it from his daddy!)

Trying to share

Shopping with Daddy

Rowan got a tricycle for Christmas. Before we moved we just had it in the rocking position, but he LOVES being able to ride it at the new place!

We finally got family pics done!!!! (Thanks Erin)
Rowan didn't want to cooperate cuz he has been getting grumpier in the evenings and that is when we did the pics. But we still got some fun ones

Not a family pic, but Rowan LOVES this and giggles so cute!!

These are at a park at a friends birthday party. He loves playgrounds!!! (even with his casts!! Which don't slow him down at all!!)

We were so excited for these! It feels like I have pregnant for a long time!!

Front View

2 feet

The picture tells it all!

This is a video of the Ultrasound. The babies feet are together (sole to sole) and than right under his bottom. (you have to look closely)

This video is just of the baby moving his hand!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! The goings on in our home are still pretty boring, except for Rowan who keeps us entertained!!!! Cory has 2 more weeks of school and as long as he passes all his classes he will be DONE!! YEAH!!! Rowan turns 18 months at the end of this month. Rowan will also be getting casts on both legs to fix his pigeon toes. (I had to have this done too.) We are not excited for it but he keeps tripping over his own feet.
Rowan also is trying to say EVERYTHING. Not everything is understandable, but we point to something and say what it is and he tries!! Some of the funniest new words are "seriously", "black car", "kiss", "shoe" and many more!!!

And her are some funny pics!

I got a new phone and took out the battery to my old one and gave it to Rowan!! He LOVES IT!!

He says "cheese" and I got this great corny smile!

He loves his piano and chair. He can't have one without the other and it is very entertaining to watch him move them into this position.

Can you find the baby?? (we found him like this when we checked on him before we went to bed!)

And, of course, THANKSGIVING!!! We decided that due to money, school, and not wanting to drive really far, we are spending the holidays at home. So we had one other couple over for Thanksgiving and I cooked my first turkey!! I was so nervous!!! Cory made a yummy cranberry sauce and Rowan LOVED to help.

Grating the orange peel

Putting the spices into the tea ball.

Yummy Turkey!!! And yes, it tasted as good as it looks!!! (Thank you Alton Brown!!)

Cory Carving

Proof that it was cooked all the way through!

Playing with Monica and Guillermo

Sorry for the side shot, but this was too funny not post

He started this game! listen closely to the second video, you can hear him say the countdown

This morning he played the game all by himself and I couldn't stop laughing!!!

He did this while getting him ready for bed!

What a month!! Sorry it has been so long since I have posted.
First, some funny things from Rowan. On Sunday (8th) Rowan slide down a slide all by himself for the first time....climbed up the stairs and scooted to the edge and went down!! So cute!! Yesterday after his bath he took his first naked run through the house! He is helping me to put things away, usually in the wrong places, but today he helped me put a pan away and he opened up the right door!! He also climbed out of his crib for the first time yesterday!
He is talking a lot more and understand more each day!

This is Rowan sitting in the sink...he loves this!! He will play with his reflection, give kisses, fives, knuckles, etc!

I have these pillows out because they were under something I needed and Rowan has fun sitting in them. Often I will find him lying in them while "talking" to a toy, or sitting in them to read a book.

Cory thought it would be funny to stick cereal to Rowan's face. He loved it!! He ate every one!!!

Our little gamer!

We checked on Rowan and this is how he was sleeping!

Our own little Schroeder(from Charlie Brown)

We took Rowan to a pumpkin patch and he had fun!!

Here he is picking out his pumpkin. He would pick one out, bring it to us and than go get another one! (sorry the pick is fuzzy, it was dark and the camera focused on the dust!)

Decorated pumpkin

He had fun in a playhouse there.

We have some friends whose church put on a great Harvest Festival!

Rowan on a Harley!

Bobbing for ducks!

Playing in a Bouncy house!

Cory and McKain sumo wrestled!

Than there was Halloween!!!

Rowan practicing to be a pirate

The whole family. I was a flapper, Rowan was a pirate, and only those who have seen Red Dwarf know what Cory was (he has an H on his forehead!)

Than we went to the Scout O Rama this last week end. Unfortunately it wasn't really too much for Rowan this year, in a few years we will have to plan the whole day though!!
Tug of war with Daddy helping (the best part was the other side started yelling "it's the baby's dad!! HELP!! lol. ) Found out Rowan loved it when Cory would pull on the rope cuz he would go up in the air, so Cory would pull, not realizing he was helping his side win!! lol

Rowan in a Tee Pee

Blowing the boats down

And more Random funniness from Rowan

He cleaned out the bathroom cupboards so he could sit in the

Cory put the bucket on his head and he loved it!

And nothing is more fun on a boring day, than trying to pack up Rowan and send him somewhere (lots of people have asked me too!!)

Than there was his first full apple.... I gave it to him thinking he would try to eat it and not be able to. I was wrong, he took a bite and continued to eat almost the entire apple!!! I have not seen him happier!!
