Rowan's first day of school!!!

My little, big boy started school today!!!  I was very nervous, both because we didn't get into the school we wanted to and because of how easily distracted he can be.  He was never nervous and after he got to school I barely got 1 picture before he was off to his classroom. I didn't even get a goodbye hug!!
This is his school bag that he got to decorate. He doesn't usually like to draw or color so I was ecstatic when he showed this to me!! He said that its us swimming (he forgot Ember)  And there are bubbles and rain (we got rained out of our ward swim party Saturday).  I even love the red flowers he drew!!!(he has never drawn flowers for me before!)

When I asked him how his day was he says "I loved recess. I did Math and made patterns with Starburst!!

*update on my goal of no games on my phone*
So far so good.  Its been hard because I have been sick and the kids were crazy this week. But I have been more productive (other than getting lost in my books).

Almost 2 years since I have posted on this blog.  The ability to post my pictures so easily on Facebook and feeling like my blog posts were not as well worded as many of my friends blogs made it easy to stop.  But I know that the only way to get better at things is to practice.  So, whether my post are well worded or not, boring or not, silly or serious, I will post weekly.  I have an amazing family to tell all my family and friends about. And I am trying to use facebook less and this will help.
One of my good friends has set the example for me of doing what she calls "Mormon Lent".  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints does not usually practice lent. In fact, I know very little about it except that you are supposed to give up something until Easter.  So, I am giving up my phone games.  Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE my silly, mindless games.  I will replace this time with reading scriptures, being better at playing with my kids, and updating this blog.
I will leave you with this picture of my amazing family!!
