Here we are at the zoo. This is Rowan's first Carousel ride. He wasn't too sure of it at first but I finally got a pic of him waving!


They had a splash pad and Rowan was hot so we let him play in it. He learned quickly that the water squirted out of the ground but it would still scare him when it came up!
He was so tired!!

Our first bad head injury. He loves to be scared and we scared him and he turn and ran head first into a corner!! I wish I had gotten a pic right after because it swelled up so big it was scarry! But he is ok, other than the bruise.The first video is Rowan giving Kiwi a kiss. He loves the bird and now that Kiwi has gotten to know Rowan she actually likes him too (she used to hiss and squawk when she saw him)

Things have been really crazy lately. The day after we got back from Oregon Cory and I got some weird flu thingy. The next day was pretty normal. But on thursday we ended up in the ER because I was having a miscarriage. The tests in the ER weren't for sure so we had to wait til monday. Besides that we are doing great and here are some cute pics of Rowan

Last week we went on a trip to Oregon to see my parents and for memorial day (even though I scheduled the trip wrong, oh well.)

On Saturday we went on a small hike to see some beautiful waterfalls! We forgot the baby bjorn so we had to carry Rowan a lot, but we were surprised by how much of the hike he was able to walk, and he actually held our hand! (usually he thinks he doesn't need to)

My parents bird didn't even bother Rowan (on his birthday I introduced Rowan and Kiwi, my bird. Rowan gave Kiwi a kiss and Kiwi gave him one back! it was so cute)

The trip was fun and we didn't want to have to get back to AZ's hot weather and "reality" but we had fun.

We had a Birthday party for Rowan on Sat (pretty much an excuse to have a pool party)

This has a funny story. My friends kid said that there was something yellow in there. I said it was just the chlorine tablet (figuring the complex had a yellow) and he said "no, it is yellow with black writing". Again, my and my friend dismissed it. He said it looked like a frisbee, and we said why do you say that? as he opened the filter and pulled out.....a frisbee!!!

We are going to be flying to my parents on his birthday! Hurray for Birthday surprises!!

Things have been pretty quiet around here.  We are very excited that Cory got a B+ in his class this semester (for those who don't know the class got really hard half way through and Cory's study buddy had to drop out and Cory wasn't sure if he should drop it or stick with...we are glad he stuck with it!)   

Rowan is growing like a weed and can now stand up without having to pull himself up on something.  He should be done with his helmet on the 22nd and Than a week later, on his birthday, we are heading to Oregon to visit my folks.  

Rowan will occationally suck on his top lip but he has never done it consistently until tonight, so here are some pics

And he had his first graham cracker and loved it!!!  I wanted to see how he would do with a full square and he took a small bite and found out he could bite with his 2 bottom teeth and gave me this huge smile!!

Trip to Utah

Rowan and I went to Utah this last week (we traveled with a friend for safety, thanks Heather!).  We spent the first few days in Logan goofing off with friends there and staying with Betsy and Nick (Thanks so much guys!!).  I apologize for not having more pics of the trip because I was too busy trying to see as many people as possible that I forgot about taking pics.

When we went to Bountiful we surprised Cory's mom because she didn't know we were coming.  It was great to see all my family and a few friends, sorry to those I missed, but next time I will let more know I am there and you can all come see us!
